Guidelines for Use

Below are some guidelines for using Westie World's Forum. If you agree to abide by these guidelines, click on the "I Agree" button listed below them and you will then be given instructions of how to subscribe.

GUIDELINES FOR USAGE OF WESTIE WORLD'S FORUM

Westie World's bulletin boards and chat rooms are, like the rest of Westie World, meant to be a not-for-profit service, providing an opportunity to share information about Westies.

Certain courtesies and expectations are expected from all members of the forum.

Using the forum to buy and/or sell Westies is not permitted.

The various bulletin boards are not an avenue for any person and/or organization to promote their business. If you do make and/or sell Westie items, then you are invited to put a blurb on the Westie Goodies board one time only. Multiple and/or frequent postings advertising your business can be tiresome and will be removed from the bulletin boards ... and could result in you losing membership in the forum.

Rescue organizations, clubs, etc., are invited to post information about fundraising items on the appropriate board(s). As is any Westie club trying to raise funds for various events.

Please limit signature lines, if you choose to use them at all, to your name and/or email address only. If you have a personal, Westie-related website or are a member of a Westie club and/or organization who has a website, then do post the URL on the appropriate board(s).

Flaming is also not part of the spirit of Westie World - whether in the forum, or by private response to any messages posted. Should you unfortunately be the recipient of a private flame, then we do urge and encourage you to forward it on to us and promise you it will be dealt with in an effective manner. Courtesy is expected of all participants. In a like spirit, we expect that participants will not discuss the behavior and practices of other people, whether members or non-members of the forum, in a derogatory manner.

Forwarding of any information posted on the bulletin boards to any third-party is strictly prohibited unless permission is obtained from the individual posting the message to the board(s). If permission is given, a copy of the letter or email should then be sent to Westie World advising us of this.

No libelous or slanderous material will be posted to any of the bulletin boards or chat rooms. Any person or group doing so will be immediately removed from the forum.

Violations of any of the above expectations or normal rules for courteous conduct may result in the immediate withdrawal of bulletin board privileges. Westie World is privately owned and operated as a service for Westie lovers. Anyone who violates the expectations laid out above, or behaves in an inappropriate manner will have their membership immediately revoked.

The bulletin boards will be monitored, but unless Westie World has scheduled a moderated chat, the chat rooms will be not be monitored.

Westie World and its owners are not responsible for the content on the bulletin boards and/or on the chat rooms.

Subscriber information - members' names, email addresses and any other information shared with Westie World, will not be sold or passed on to any other third party source for any reason whatsoever by the owners of Westie World.
